2022 REDOLENT CARLTON HILL PINOT NOIR - $40
Above the towns of Yamhill and Carlton grows the stunning 11-acre Carlton Hill Vineyard. Planted in 1999, this vineyard is planted with a pure eastern sun exposure, somewhat noteworthy for Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. We work with the classic Willamette Valley clones of Pommard and Wädenswil from this site, and it always produces a distinctively superlative Yamhill-Carlton Pinot Noir.
On the nose, the 2022 Carlton Hill Pinot Noir presents an array of aromatic spices, strawberry, dusty rose, balsa wood, black raspberry, forest floor, and a hint of cinnamon leads into lively flavors of red berries, clove, strawberry, and lavender, finishing with a fine-textured interplay of acidity and firm tannins, creating a lingering and gratifying finish.
