Nebbiolo wants food. This is a wine for the dinner table. You can drink it on its own for sure, but it shines best with ribeye steak, mushroom and/or truffle pasta dishes, all pizza (at least to me), lasagna, sausage, braised duck, braised pork shank, beef tenderloin, and roast turkey. It wants to be on a table full of food.
Aromas of roses, raspberry, and fresh tobacco, with flavors of cherry, plum, and fennel unfolding on the palate. As always, this Nebbiolo loves food, however this vintage is somewhat lighter than the 2018, in our opinion, and has a freshness and refreshing quality that allows it to be consumed on its own.
