2018 REDOLENT WAVING TREE NEBBIOLO - $100
We are excited to release our first Nebbiolo. When Redolent first began we had an idea of making a true Oregon Nebbiolo and after a number of years of trials and work, we are so proud to release our 2018 Redolent Waving Tree Nebbiolo.
Nebbiolo wants food. This is a wine for the dinner table. You can drink it on its own for sure, but it shines best with ribeye steak, mushroom and/or truffle pasta dishes, all pizza (at least to me), lasagna, sausage, braised duck, braised pork shank, beef tenderloin, and roast turkey. It wants to be on a table full of food.
Aromas of roses, raspberry, fresh tobacco, leather and tar leading into flavors of cherry, plum, fresh tobacco, fennel, and herbs, finishing with a nice tannic grip and lingering cherry and tar.
